Banana Mawa Pistachio Cake

125 g All purpose flour/Maida

1/2 tsp Baking powder

1/2 tsp Baking soda

90 g Salted butter

2 Egg

60 g Mawa

1/2 cup Coarsely ground pistachios

80 g Granulated sugar

80 g Overripe mashed banana

1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

6 tbsp Warm milk


1Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C. Grease and dust a 8” round aluminium cake tin. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda thrice. Keep it aside.

2Cream butter and sugar well.

3Add mawa and cardamom powder. Add gently beaten eggs.

4Continue creaming.

5Now add mashed bananas. Fold in the sifted flour and warm milk. Add pistachios.

6Transfer the batter into to the prepared tin.

7Bake at 150 degrees C for 35-40 minutes or until done.
