1Grease and dust a 6” aluminium pan
3Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C for 15 minutes.
4Weigh 125 gms of flour.
6Add 1/2 tsp of baking powder.
7Also add 1/4 tsp of baking soda.
8Sift these dry ingredients thrice.
9This is done to aerate the ingredients.
12Mix luke warm milk and thick curd . Keep it aside.
13Take 115 gms of butter
15Weigh 110 gms of granulated sugar.
17Cream butter and sugar.
20Add gently beaten eggs.
23Add vanilla essence.
24Gently fold in the flour and milk mixture in three batches.
26Do not stir the batter.
27Follow cut and fold method.
28Add 2 tbsp of water if the batter is too thick.
30The batter should be of dropping consistency.
31Transfer the batter into the prepared greased and dusted aluminium tin.
33Bake at 150 degrees C for 35-40 minutes or until done.
34Check with a wooden toothpick to see it the cake is done.
35The toothpick should come out clean. Now you know that the cake is done.
37Turn off the oven. Remove the cake from the oven.
38Transfer it to a wire rack.
