Crispy golden brown samosa

These golden brown samosas can be fried or baked . The filling can be your choice . Spicy potato with green peas or minced chicken /mutton can be used as filling .

Ingredients

For the dough

150 g All purpose flour

Water for kneading

Salt

For the filling

125 g Chicken minced

2 Green chillies

50 g Coriander leaves

2 Onion (medium)

1 tbsp Garlic paste

1 tsp Ginger paste

2 tsp Chilli powder

1 tbsp Coriander powder

1/8 tbsp Turmeric powder

1/2 tsp Garam masala

Oil

Salt to taste

Oil for frying

Directions

1Sift flour.Add enough water and salt to make a soft dough.

2Knead well and divide into three equal portions .

3Roll out into 4" diameter .

4Apply oil on one side of the round and place it one above other.

7Roll it out thin like a trotilla .

8Divide into three equal strips .

9Heat a tawa over medium heat until hot .Put one strip on the tawa and cook for 30-40 seconds .Then flip and cook the other side . Do not apply ghee or butter .

10Remove from heat .

11Each strip will contain three thin sheets .

12Separate the sheets while warm. There will be nine thin sheets . Keep it aside . Store it in a plastic container .

13Make a thick paste of all purpose flour and water to seal the edges .

14Make a cone.

15Keep the filling inside .

16Seal the edges .

18Fry it until golden brown .

19Serve hot with mint chutney or chilli sauce .

For the filling

1Wash and clean chicken mince . Chop onion ,green chillies and coriander leaves .

2Fry onion and green chillies . Add ginger paste and garlic paste . Add chilli powder , coriander powder and turmeric powder.

3Add the minced chicken and garam masala . Add salt and coriander leaves . Cook until dry .

The dough should be neither too soft nor too stiff .
