Appam Batter-2

2 cups Raw Rice

1 cup Cooked raw rice

1/2 cup Grated Coconut

1 cup Thick Coconut milk

1/2 cup Water

3 tbsp Sugar

2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Instant dry yeast

1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda


2Soak the rice for 3-4 hrs.

3Strain the rice through a colander. Discard the water.

4In a large mixie jar, grind all the ingredients mentioned above until smooth.

5Transfer to a large container. Allow the batter to ferment for 4-5 hrs.

6Now give a batter a gentle stir. Mix baking soda in 1 tbsp water. Add to the prepared batter.

7Appam batter is ready. Make Appam and serve hot with chicken curry or creamy vegetable stew.
