Chocolate cake mildly flavoured with cinnamon and nutmeg

This chocolate cake is moist and soft .The colour is dark and rich .
It takes about 3 minutes only to mix the batter and 40 minutes to bake . A pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg is added for the flavor .

  • Prep: 3 mins
  • Cook: 40 mins


1 cup All purpose flour

1/4 cup Cocoa powder

1/4 cup Butter

1/4 cup Thick curd

1/2 tsp Baking soda

3/4 cup Sugar

1 Egg

1/4 cup Luke warm water

1 tsp Cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder

1/8 tsp Grape essence


1Pre heat the oven at 180 degree C . Grease and dust a 8" round cake tin. Transfer all the ingredients into a medium sized bowl . Using an electric mixer ,beat the batter on medium speed for 3 minutes . Transfer the batter into the prepared cake tin and bake for 35-40 mins or until done .
