1 cup Wheat flour

1 cup All purpose flour

1 tsp Baking powder

1/4 tsp Soda powder

1/3 cup Salted butter

3/4 cup Granulated sugar

1 tsp Vanilla essence

3-4 tbsp Milk


1Sift wheat flour, all purpose flour,baking powder and baking soda thrice.

2Cream butter and sugar well using a hand mixer.

3Now add the sifted flour, vanilla essence and milk.

4Knead all the ingredients together for 2-3 minutes without applying too much pressure. Add 1 -2 tbsp of extra milk if the dough is too stiff.

5Cling wrap the dough . Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.

6Now take the dough out .

7Place the dough between two sheets of cling film.

8Now roll out the dough gently using a rolling pin. Using a small cookie cutter, cut it into small rounds. Prick it with a fork or a wooden skewer.

9 Line a rectangular tin with parchment sheet.Transfer the prepared cookie dough into the tin.

10Refrigerate it for 10 minutes.

11Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C with the fan mode on.

12Bake the cookies for 20 minutes at 150 degrees C.

13Remove the cookies from the tin to a cooling rack.
