Pear upside down Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

1 cup All purpose flour/ Maida

1/2 tsp Baking Soda

1/4 cup Cocoa powder

3 tbsp Salted Butter

2 tbsp Cream cheese

1 Egg

3/4 cup Granulated sugar

Tonovin essence

1 tbsp White vinegar

3 tbsp Red wine

10 Pear slices

1/3 cup Brown sugar

3 tbsp Melted butter

Directions

1Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C. Grease and dust a 8” aluminium pan. Line the base of the pan with parchment sheet.

2Keep the pear slices ready

3Sift the flour, baking soda and cocoa powder thrice.

4Now, take the prepared pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and 3 tbsp of melted butter.Gently place the pear slices on top and bake for 6-8 minutes.

5Turn off the oven. Take the pan out. Keep it aside.

6Let us prepare the cake batter.

7Cream butter and sugar well. Add cream cheese. Continue creaming on low speed.

8Add gently beaten egg.

9Fold in rest of the ingredients.

10Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.

11Bake at 150 degrees C for 40-45 minutes or until done.

12Allow the cake to cool properly.

13Invert the cake gently.
